- Laurence Levain was a culinary superstar: The high-profile owner and chef of Chez Laurence, an internationally renowned restaurant in Washington, D.C., his specialty was the world-famous Les Nouilles en Quilt Multicolore, an incomparably lush pasta dish to die for.
