Description
1 videocassete (41 min.) : sound, color; 1/2 in. + 1 booklet (20 pages : ill. ; 18 cm).
Summary
Using geometric animation from recent mathematical research on minimal surfaces, this video explains the world of soap films and their properties through the eyes of a young boy named Kalle. Under the guidance of an old professor, Kalle enters the fascinating world of soap films. This video is designed to be understandable on two levels. The first level is for anyone interested in science. The second level is accessible with a deeper understanding of differential geometry as it is taught at the university level.
