Summary
Prisma: Clouds presents a vast collection of multimedia data, original texts, sound recordings, extracts of pieces, documentary videos, photos and animation. In Harvests flutist Camilla Hoitenga and cellist Anssi Karttunen share their experiences of the interpretation of contemporary music in general, and...the music of Kaija Saariaho. In Spectra, composer Jean-Baptiste Barriëre details the role electronics contributes to Saariaho's music. In Sea-Marks, musicologist Ivanka Stoianova offers an easily approachable analysis of Saariaho's composition Amers. Mirrors is a unique interactive game of musical creativity based on a piece composed specially for this purpose by Kaija Saariaho.
