The investigations have been carried on by the committee since 1916, with the aid of grants from the Department of science and industrial research.
The 2d-14th, 16th- issues are "interim" reports. The 15th report is "a general description of the experimental work carried out by the committee to date [1935]" The 18th is "a general discussion of the results of the corrosion tests carried out with ferrous specimens for 5, 10 and 15 years at Auckland (New Zealand), Colombo (Ceylon), Halifax (Canada) and Plymouth (England) by J. Newton Fried."
