- Summary
- Almost one quarter of mandibular fractures are located in the condylar neck region, and these fractures generally lead to occlusal disturbances. Now it is possible, with a new axial, oblique-axial lag screw with biconcave washers, to achieve standardized osteosynthesis in the area of the thin mandibular neck.
- In the field of maxillofacial surgery, traumatology has become increasingly important. For this reason, this book will be a valuable addition to the libraries of oral and maxillofacial surgeons, general traumatologists, orthopedic surgeons, and veterinarians.
- This book is a step-by-step, fully illustrated guide on the principles and techniques of anchor screw osteosynthesis, with a focus on fractures of the condylar neck of the mandible. The pathologic and anatomic characteristics of these fractures are described, as are the instruments required in using the osteosynthesis technique. In addition, the basic principles of biomechanics are defined.
