Summary
  • These sections are followed by brief descriptions of the disorders thus listed with key references for further information. Since publication of the first edition, many new disorders have been delineated and this has resulted in all sections of the book being updated to take account of the new material. The terminology used is that set out in the 1992 revision of the International Nomenclature.
  • This handbook presents, in the form of Gamut Lists, the radiological manifestations of skeletal dysplasias for both genetic and acquired disorders of the skeleton. Its purpose is to act as an aid to differential diagnosis following the observation of abnormalities in bone radiographs. The lists are constructed in two ways: by type of generalised bone abnormality and anatomically by skeletal region.
