- Summary
- Accompanied by a folder (25 cm.) of illustrative material, which contains reproductions of the five plans of 17th- and 18th- century date which are subjected to detailed analysis in the book, a quadrant by quadrant comparison of three of these plans with the archaelogical evidence for the outer circle of the Avebury henge, and a print of William Stukely's panorama of the Kennet and Beckhampton avenues. There is also a series of transparencies on which the data from the early records, together with archaelogical findings about the site, have been reduced to a uniform scale.
