Summary
The Wacken Open Air is the biggest Heavy Metal Festival on earth. 40.000 visitors, 4 stages, 40 bands on 100 hektar land. Every first weekend in August metalheads from all over the world meet in the North of Germany in the small village in the middle of nowhere and have a peaceful heavy metal party. For one week the organisers build there an infrastructure which commensurates to a small city. In 2004 the festival celebrates its 15th anniversary. This book contains interviews with the organisers and with approx. 140 bands, 320 pictures, fan-experiences and stories from all contributors.
