Summary
Examines the unique functions of each hemisphere of the human brain. Uses interviews with neuroscientists, scientific studies and experiments, tests administered to stroke victims, and the study of an epileptic who had part of her brain severed surgically to control seizures. Describes differences between male and female brains which seem to result from differing sex hormones, and shows how some sex abnormalities may chemically affect the brain. Explores the influence of culture and experience on the way the brain processes information.
