- Summary
- Stiffelio returns to the religious community in which he is a minister. In his absence, his wife Lina has become involved with Raffaele, a young adventurer. The liaison is discoverd by Lina\u0027s father, Stankar. Stiffelio himself soon becomes suspicious and is eventually convinced of his wife\u0027s guilt. Stankar kills Raffaele at the moment that Stiffelio is demanding a divorce from his wife.
