- Anthology of fundamental texts on the consolidation of modern architecture in Mexico, selected mainly because they reflect the diversity and inherent contradictions of the intellectual and artistic circles that were present since the 19th century. Spanning 40 years (1922-1954), the essays account for the mutations, presences, absences and the in-between fluctuations in some of the most important ideas of the modern architectonic debate. The members of the Seminar in Modern Architecture (IIE-UNAM) freely selected each a printed article or manuscript to contribute with introductory essays on period newspaper and magazine articles, unedited conferences papers and books that covered topics such as urbanization, housing, theory and planning.
