Summary
  • A collection of seventeen letters written by Nathan Peters during his period of service in the Continental Army from April 1775 to February 1777 and thirty letters written by his wife Lois Crary Peters.
  • Nathan was born 26 Aug 1747 in Medfield, Mass. and died 7 Feb. 1824. He was the son of William and Hannah (Chenery) Peters. Nathan married, in Preston, Connecticut, on June 10, 1770, Lois Crary, daughter of Robert and Sarah (Tracy) Crary. Lois was born 10 April 1750 and died in 1837. They had 9 children.
