Summary
A biography of Léon Daudet (1867-1942), French nationalist journalist and politician, son of Alphonse Daudet. Pp. 92-97 discuss, in brief, his attitude towards Jews and his extensive activity on the antisemitic journal "La Libre Parole", where he worked for eight years. Argues that Daudet was nevertheless not a militant antisemite, but first and foremost an opponent of democracy, which had allowed the Jews to gain power, and of the political system itself. Daudet was later associated closely with Charles Maurras and the Action Française.
