Summary
Pp. 225-234 trace the evolution of Christian-Jewish dialogue in France from the end of World War II to the present. Underlines the importance of the activities of Jules Isaac, his contribution in organizing the Seelisberg Conference (1947), and his proposals concerning changes in the Christian teaching on Jews. Pp. 243-262, "L'antisémitisme", state that following the war the antisemitism in France was only latent, but it has increased and become more blatant since the 1970s. Analyzes three new forms of contemporary antisemitism: anti-Zionism, terrorism, and historical revisionism. Concludes that anti-Zionism is spread by left- and right-wing extremist groups, it is a form of banalization of antisemitism, and favors the development of anti-Jewish terrorism. Describes attacks against Jews in France since 1979. Surveys, as well, the views of the most important historical revisionists in France, who "assassinate the Jewish memory".
