- Summary
- In December 1990, the Commission published `Tentative proposals for a new Personal Security Act', recommending the repeal of the current Act and enactment of a new Act. The new Act is considered necessary because of minor problems and clarifications that need to be addressed, the need for a personal property security system that can accommodate remote search and registration access to the Personal Property Registry, and the need to harmonize all such legislation across Western Canada. This document explains the changes proposed and describes the new Act by section.
