Summary
The family history of Gertrude Elaine Pellinen (b. 1925), daughter of Juho Vihtori Pellinen (b. 1876) and Hanna (or Johanna) Vuorenmaa (1881-1954). Juho Vihtori Pellinen and Hanna Vuorenmaa emigrated from Finland and arrived at Ellis Island, N.Y. on July 23, 1903. They were enga- ged at the time, and married 1905 in Marquette, Michigan. They lived in Marquette until 1918 at which time they moved to Paynes- ville, Michigan. They were parents of seven children. The Vuorenmaa family originates from Soini parish, Vaasa co., Finland.
