- Summary
- The Cattell family originated in the county of Warwick. By the early 1600s they were living in the town of Bridge End. Two main branches descended from brothers, John (d. 1653) and Thomas. These were the yeoman Cattells and the artisan Cattells. Both branches gained respect and prominence and intermarried.
