- Summary
- In 1892 James Alexander (1834-1924) and Jane Greenlees Alexander (1847- 1928) left their native Scotland and traveled south to Eynesford, Kent where they bought a 102 acre farm and settled near Jane's brothers, David and James Greenlees. James and Jane were the parents of four children, only one of whom had children. These three children continued to expand the Alexander property in the Darent Valley until the present. There are two Alexander farming companies which own over two thousand acres of land in the Darent Valley. Descendants live in the county of Kent.
