- "The antique Italian gold and silver exhibition opened on June 16, 1961, at the Palazzo Chiablese in Turin. In September of the same year the exhibition was moved to the Castello Svevo in Bari and later still, to the Museo Nazionale in Naples, where it remained open to the public until its appearance in the Palazzo Reale in Milan. The exhibition was thus conceived as a travelling showpiece. It was organized by the Direzione General alle Antichita e Belle Arti assisted by the superintendents and directors of Italian State and Communal Museums"--P. v.
