- Summary
- Presents a collection of 24 personal stories about daily life in Westerbork, based on memoirs, letters, and interviews. Most of the accounts are by the sole survivors of their families; some are by or about those who died (e.g. Anne Frank, Etty Hillesum). Some of the accounts are told by persons who knew a certain family, none of whose members survived. In 1983 Westerbork was declared a war memorial. Includes photographs, facsimiles of documents, and drawings (most of them sketched by Leo Kok in 1944).
