A survey of the history of the Jews of Windsheim (Bavaria) between 1871-1945. Traces the development of antisemitism from the beginning of Jewish settlement there in the 13th century. Mentions the murder of 56 Jews on 23 June 1298, the pogrom of 1348, and reports on antisemitic events throughout the centuries until the rise of the Nazi regime. Describes the deterioration of the situation of the Jews, their gradual isolation, and the arrests and deportation to concentration camps. Pp. 66-260 trace the fate of the 36 Jewish families who lived in Windsheim. Pp. 408-494 contain testimonies of survivors.
