Summary
"Two orphaned sisters grow up, each unaware of the other's existence. They are alike only in appearance for Gwynette, the elder sister, was adopted by the wealthy Mrs. Poindexter-Jones, while Jeanette grew up on a farm with Grandma and Grandpa Warner. Mr. and Mrs. Warner manage the Poindexter-Jones estate, and are treated as servants by the haughty Gwynette. But Jeanette, usually called Jenny, is not at all ashamed of her grandparents. She is as unspoiled as Gwynette is selfish. However, Harold Poindexter-Jones is not so snobbish as his sister. He and the rich Gales, Lenora, and Charles, realize that social position in not important and often visit the Warner farm. When Gwynette finds that even her proud mother is becoming fond of Jenny, she decides on a desperate course of action. The result of Gwynette's plan makes an entertaining and exciting story which every girl will enjoy." -- from dust jacket inner flap.
