Presents a model to assess the effectiveness of commercial policies, analyzes the evolution of Argentine policies and global economic trends, discusses different trade options with special emphasis on regional accords such as NAFTA and Mercosur, and finally assesses three trade policy alternatives: unilateral commercial opening, multilateral commercial liberalization, and regional trade agreements.
