Summary
"Catalog of the exhibition organized by Bogotá's Museo Nacional around the 'Polyptic,' the work for which Luis Caballero won first prize at the Coltejer Biennial in Medellín in 1968. The work has been known traditionally as the Chamber of Love, although it seems the artist never intended to put a title to any of his works. The 'Polyptic' was presented at the biennial in an incomplete form, and this exhibition presents it in its entirety for the first time. The many illustrations provide a clear indication of Caballero's early visual and erotic concerns, which prevailed as a characteristic note in his work throughout his career"--Handbook of Latin American Studies, v. 58.
