Summary
This report is the result of discussions within the Bank as well as dialogues with Nongovernmental Organizations and other international agencies concerned with poverty and hunger. The report summarizes Bank policy on these issues and details a coordinated program of actions that the Bank, in collaboration with other organizations, will promote in the next few years. This program will be evaluated periodically and refined based on new knowledge and further consultations inside and outside the Bank.
