Summary
A short illustrated history of the synagogue, which was built in 1854-60. On 10 November 1938, during the "Kristallnacht" pogrom, the synagogue was set on fire, and in January 1939 it was demolished. Pp. 35-44 contain eyewitness accounts and documents pertaining to the destruction of the synagogue.
