Summary
Pp. 11-35 present excerpts from the official journal "Gazeta Żydowska", which appeared in Kraków but was distributed to all the ghettos between July 1940-August 1942. Pp. 37-69 comprise watercolor drawings of life in the ghetto by Teofila Reich-Ranicki (b. 1920), who was interned in the Warsaw ghetto from November 1940. In July 1942 she married Marcel Reich; in February 1943 they escaped to the "Aryan side" and survived in hiding. Pp. 71-89 present an essay by Hanna Krall on the drawings. Pp. 91-115 contain drawings of opera heroines by Reich-Ranicki.
