- Summary
- Sketches the activities of the Dutch Immigrants' Association in Israel, officially instituted in 1943. Pp. 37-63 deal with the World War II period and the attempts of the IOH to receive as many exchange certificates as possible via the Jewish Agency and the British government for Dutch Jews in Nazi-occupied Europe. Reports on the arrival of 222 former inmates of Bergen-Belsen (102 Dutch Jews) in Palestine in July 1944, followed later that year by ca. 61 Palestine pioneers who received assistance from the IOH. also reports on attempts, in vain, to organize the release and exchange of 1,000 Dutch Jewish children, which was refused by the British government.
