- The 12th-century chronicle of the reign of Duke Boleslaw III and his ancestors is presented for the first time in English in a side-by-side translation with the Latin original. An introduction describes the history of the chronicle and its study. The translators have annotated the text to indicate scholarly studies of the events described, biblical references, and historical details. An extensive bibliography is included.
