Summary
Tres escenarios is the first in a series of exhibitions planned by the CAAM under the new definition of tri-continentality, with the participation of Ricardo Basbaum from Brazil, Pedro Déniz from Spain, and the South African Robin Rhode, who used Las Palmas de Gran Canaria as the setting for their ephemeral interventions. The exhibition was intended to interact with the museum and the city, producing an art that is close to that of the performance as a synonym for experience. Each one of these artists carried out a series of interventions in the Vegueta district and the interior of the San Antonio Abad showrooms which were meant to impact directly on the daily life of Canary Islands citizens and on the perceptions of the spectators who visited the museum show space.
