Project Ph15 began in 2000 by Martin Rosenthal and children living in Ciudad Oculta (Hidden City), one of the largest and most violent shantytowns in Buenos Aires. He organized workshops to teach children photography as a way of coping with their difficult circumstances.
"The project has broken down barriers in record time, showing the restless vision of the participants in various exhibitions held throughout Argentina and in other countries, such as the United States and Spain. Well-known international and local professionals from different artistic fields take part in the workshops as guest teachers"--P. 74.
