Summary
Elle a été la première à avoir présenté une thèse de doctorat sur la littérature négro-africaine. Avant elle, Senghor avait publié son anthologie, préfacée par Sartre, sous le titre Orphée noir. Quand on demande au professeur Kesteloot pourquoi elle s'est intéressée aux écrivains africains et à la littérature orale de ce continent, elle n'a pas d'autre réponse que le silence de l'évidence. Dans cet ouvrage elle confie au professeur Ari Gounongbé son intime perception de Léopold Sédar Senghor, d'Aimé Césaire, Frantz Fanon, Cheikh Anta Diop et Amadou Hamapté Ba.
