Summary

Discusses the condition of the Xuetas (Conversos) in Majorca throughout history. Pp. 19-70 trace the genealogy of the author's family, giving details about his ancestors who suffered from persecution by the Inquisition (e.g. in 1691) and prejudice from the general population. Pp. 127-180 deal with the Xueta phenomenon, with antisemitism, and with Christian relations with the Xuetas.
