Summary
Le Prince Kwete Mwana, fils d'un authentique roi Kuba (province du Kasaï), fut un "évolué" peu conventionnel sous la colonisation. Dans le Congo indépendant, il devint commissaire de district puis ministre provincial de l'Education, tout en gardant un oeil sur les affaires kuba. En 1969, après le décès du vieux Roi, il rédigea lui-même ses souvenirs entre 1913 et 1970. Publiée 50 ans après l'Indépendance, cette autobiographie rénove les connaissances historiques sur les royaumes africains.
