- Summary
- Memoirs of a "mischlinge", born to the Friedlaender family in Vienna in 1931. Her Jewish father was deported in 1942, and Wright remained ignorant of what was happening to the Jews during the war. She basically rejected the Jewish part of her identity until long after the war when, in Australia, she became involved in the work of Melbourne's Jewish Holocaust Museum and Research Centre, which she describes. There are some details about the dire fates of other relatives of Jewish origin. She eventually learned that her father had been sent to Izbica and, after some time, was killed at Bełżec.
