- Summary
- Myra Tanner Weiss revives the debate over an article published in a small, radical newspaper in 1954. Written under the penname Jack Bustelo, the offending article broached the issue of women's cosmetics in a satirical manner. Weiss not only exposes the male prejudice underlying Bustelo's writing and the Marxist movement of his time, but she also discusses the contentious relationship between feminism and Marxism.
