The conference was held under the patronage of the rector of Masaryk University, professor Petr Fiala, and under the patronage of the dean of Masaryk University, professor Josef Krob, at the Mendel Museum and the Augustinian Abbey of Saint Thomas [in Brno]. The four-day colloquium contained sessions dealing with Latin and Greek linguistics, Romance languages, Germanic languages, and, last but not least, Slavonic languages."--
