• "'Painted Journeys' developed out of the first Artist-In-Residence program at the Museum of Northern Arizona. The goal of the program is to develop new understandings of the Colorado Plateau region through the artistic process. In September 2007 three New York painters...were the first artists selected for the new program. During their three-week visit and in the year following, the artists created a large body of work dedicated to the region. 'Painted Journeys' showcases their artistic interpretation in celebration of the spirit of this place." -- Alan Peterson, page 4.
