Recognizing the need for a new Jewish model of thinking about other religions, Goshen-Gottstein (Elijah Interfaith Institute; Center for the Study of Rabbinic Thought at Bet Morasha, Jerusalem) and Korn (American director, Center for Jewish-Christian Understanding and Cooperation, Institute for Theological Inquiry, Efrat) present discourse from a 2005 conference titled "Towards a Contemporary Jewish Theology of World Religions." International scholars address themes including the challenge of particularity, legitimacy of other religious traditions, whether the prohibition against idol worship applies equally to Jews and non-Jews, and the possibility of multiple revelations.
