With the news of his death, the city seems to finally be in peace -- but that doesn't last for long. A senator and his butler are found brutally murdered and Detective Ferrara realises that the game is not over. Blood is running through the city streets again. Meanwhile, the lodge of the Black Rose -- who have made an enemy of Ferrara -- are plotting in Florence's underworld. The police are struggling with their workload and the killer is unwilling to stop. The situation worsens when Ferrara meets Angelica, a mysterious woman with too many secrets -- but it is she who leads him to the terrible truth...
