- Summary
- A volume of four new plays presented in the RSC's festival entitled Midsummer Mischief, and intended as a contemporary response to the season of 'The roaring girl' at the Swan Theatre. As an initial provocation the writers were given the famous quote by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich, "Well-behaved women seldom make history". Each has responded to this line in a unique and distinctive way. The plays were presented as two double bills, each play varying in length from 40 to 70 minutes.
