- "'The Auction of Souls' is also named 'Ravished Armenia.' It is the title of a book written in 1919 in Armenian by Aurora Mardiganian. In it she gives a detailed account of the terrible experiences she endured during the Armenian Genocide. It is also the title of a Hollywood film that was filmed in 1919. All known complete copies of the film have since been lost. However, Aurora Mardiganian's accounts are still in print."--p. 75.
- Includes a list of cast members in "Auction of souls"; a history of the making and showing of the movie in 1919; and a brief explanation and history of The American Committee for Relief in the Near East. Also included is a compilation of letters written between 1915-1930, including one from President Wilson, which encourage monetary contributions to the Committee's causes.
