A biography of the Polish-Jewish doctor and writer, Janusz Korczak (born Henryk Goldszmit, 1878-1942). Korczak devoted his life to deprived Jewish and Polish children in Warsaw, founded and directed a model orphanage, and stood by his orphans, perishing with them at Treblinka in 1942.
