Summary
In this Hermitage exhibition catalogue works from the collection of Cova Minotti display numerous of the symbol of Christianity to show how it evolved over eleven centuries. There are works of Byzantine, French, and Spanish workmanship, but most of the pieces are of Italian origin. The crosses exhibit various techniques of applied art and sculpture and a range of materials.
