- Summary
- In September 1615, three Basque whaling ships were stranded in the Vestfirðir region of Iceland after a storm. Before they were able to return to Spain, 31 of the 83 crew members were murdered. Jón Guðmundsson wrote an unbiased account of the incident. This edition of his story was produced on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the slaying.
