Summary
The Absence of a Permanent I was commissioned by EUROPALIA ARTS FESTIVAL TURKEY (2015/2016). Using videos, drawings, sculptures and photographs, Gauthier Oushoorn exhibits the outcome of his time in Istanbul and eastern Turkey and puts it into context. Drawing inspiration from the esoteric Sufi principle of unity in multiplicity, he has produced artistic and architectural interventions illustrating various components of architecture in the Islamic world. Exhibition: Centre d'innovation et de design Grand-Hornu, Hornu, Belgium (08.11.2015-21.02.2016).
