Summary
The artistic project "Irretratabilidad, illegibility, instability" by artist Melanie Smith and restorer Frida Mateos recreates a dialog between the object and its meanings. Artist and restorer collected and guided one another in a process, which brings together a series of fragments of archaeological pottery pieces and visual notes on processes of the production of knowledge and artifacts in a representation of a collection of field notes.
