Summary
Viktoria Binschtok's work combines the real world of the street with the channels of the digital village. The artist shows us the extent to which images in the Internet no longer only illustrate our world, but are in fact much more creations of their own. Time and again she finds constellations of image and reality that enable insights into the paradoxes and upheavals of this new image order, even though it is an order that follows mathematical and economic principles. The artist makes use of the randomness of these image formats to playfully tease out their potential.
