- Summary
- Alfred Walter (Snowy) Campbell's cytoarchitectonic study is the first such study of the whole human brain. His work preceded that of Brodmann and was highly regarded by the Royal Society who subsidised its publication. He also histologically confirmed Sherrington's work on motor localisation and thereby made himself a notable enemy of Victor Horsley.
