The author Francis White Lance had a vision guiding him to share the Lakota ways with the people. This book contains many sacred teachings and information never before published. I was first gifted this book from a close friend who knows the author personally. This book is a great addition for anyone wanting to learn about the Lakota ways. This book is 1 of 2 books that Francis has published, his second book "The Vision of Crazy Horse" I also highly recommend. I found both books extremely useful in understanding the Lakota language and culture, I am thankful that Francis has made these books available to the public. For anyone studying the Lakota or the Lakota medicine ways I highly recommend both books. From a historical and educational perspective, these books are very important. Please note that Francis's books are small in size and are more informative than designed for actual extensive reading. Lots of photos and information are contained within the pages.
